First Chinese C919 Landing Gear Delivered to COMAC in Changsha

On September 19, the first Chinese C919 landing gear was delivered to the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) by Liebherr LAMC Aviation (Changsha) Co., Ltd. in Changsha, Hunan Province. This marks another substantive phase between the AVIC Landing Gear Advanced Manufacturing Corporation (AVIC Landing Gear) and Liebherr Aerospace.
Mr. Luo Ronghuai, President of AVIC, Mr. Wu Guanghui, Vice President of COMAC, Mr. Yi Jialiang, Deputy Secretary General of Hunan Province, Mr. Huang Boyun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Mr. Philipp Liebherr, the third generation successor of the Liebherr Group attended the delivery ceremony and delivered speeches.
On the same day, the first C919 nose and main landing gears were delivered after their assembly, test, and inspection were completed. At the ceremony, the joint venture’s representative signed the landing gear system delivery agreement with the German Liebherr Aerospace and COMAC, as well as the ARJ21 landing gear supplier cooperation agreement with AVIC Landing Gear and German Liebherr Aerospace.
Mr. Luo Ronghuai expressed his congratulations on the delivery on behalf of AVIC. He said that AVIC would further deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation with both Chinese and foreign companies as COMAC and Liebherr. He also hopes that AVIC Aircraft and AVIC Landing Gear will take this delivery as a good beginning so as to work together with Liebherr and to provide COMAC with quality landing gear equipment in the long run.
