On April 30, the first flight of Shanxi General Aviation took place in Taiyuan, Shanxi, heralding the May 1st holiday tourism market and future short haul passenger transport.
Shanxi General Aviation Group, the general aviation operator invested by AVIC, has completed demonstration for four routes of short haul transport, and three for air sight-seeing on the maiden flights campaign.
At 9:40 a.m., an Air King 350 aircraft operated by AVIC Hebei General Aviation took off from Yaocheng Airport in Taiyuan, followed by three general airplanes, respectively flying to Yungang Airport in Yuncheng, Yungang Airport in Datong, Wangcun Airport in Changzhi and Dawu Airport in Luliang. At 10:36a.m., the tower of Yuncheng Guangong Airport reported that the first aircraft had arrived successfully.

The other stakeholder of Shanxi General Aviation is Shanxi Aviation Industry Coporation, which a province-level investment entity of Shanxi.
