On May 20th, Cameroon's National Day parade was held in Yaoundé, capital of the country. MA60 aircraft delivered by AVIC was among the first square of the parade.
At 11:30 a.m., an MA60, together with Bell 412 helicopter and other type, flew over the viewing platform at low altitude as the first square of the parade.
The appearance of the MA60 at the Cameroon National Day celebration revealed Cameroon's trust in MA60, which adds more credit to the type beyond its successful daily operation in Cameroon.
To support the parade, AVIC International provided essential MRO service to the MA60.
The MA60 in the parade was delivered to Cameroon in 2012 and has accumulated 3261 flight hours and 2435 take-off & landing.
With this aircraft, Cameroon has improved efficiency of the diplomatic visits with Chad, Central Africa, Gabon, The Republic of Congo, and other countries. The airplane was also involved in the rescue mission of seven French hostages and the evacuation of overseas Chinese in the Central African Republic.
MA60's successful operation in Cameroon is a live illustration of AVIC's "Aerial Silk Road" strategy, an initiative to help develop aviation economy along the "Belt & Road". "Aerial Silk Road" integrated civil aircraft export, airport construction, and operation capability building.
