Win-win Cooperation through Common Development AVIC Shows Its Capability at 2019 Paris Air Show

Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC) will showcase its key commercial and defense products, capabilities and technologies at the 2019 Paris Air Show, which runs June 17-23 at Paris-Le Bourget Airport. The company’s presence and activities at the show will demonstrate its commitment to the win-win cooperation with global partners. At AVIC’s stand, visitors can learn more about the company’s key portfolios in 9 categories of 13 key aviation products and specialized equipment systems.

Mr. Luo Ronghuai, President of AVIC attends the Opening Ceremony and executive meetings with international partners. Mr. Chen Yuanxian, EVP of AVIC, takes interviews from journalists of Chinese major media, including Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television, the People’s Daily, and China Daily, at AVIC stand. AVIC will meet with executives from renowned aviation enterprises and institutional investors, such as the Boeing Company, Airbus, Thales, Safran, Liebherr and GIFAS. It has been 32 years since AVIC first participated in the Paris Air Show in August 1986. As one of the top events in the aerospace industry, Paris Air Show serves as a platform for communication and cooperation among all players. It is also a golden opportunity for AVIC to exchange ideas with foreign counterparts to enhance cooperation and demonstrate its capabilities to expand the international market with a strong ‘AVIC’ branding.

At this year’s airshow, AVIC advocates for mutual-beneficial cooperation based on its specialized ability. It pays more attention to show its capacity and tap the market with all partners. Among the 9 categories of 13 key aviation products and specialized equipment systems, military and civil aircraft together with airborne systems will be highlighted. Every item on display is of leading-edge technology in its field and with prospect in international market. Moreover, double-seat JF-17 and AC312E helicopter make their international airshow debut in mock-up.

AVIC will showcase a range of selected defense products including fighter, trainer, UAV, military helicopter and transport aircraft. Visitors will spot the fifth-generation FC-31 multi-role stealthy fighter at AVIC’s stand, together with JF-17 multi-role fighter jointly developed by China and Pakistan, Wing Loong MALE UAV System, L15 advanced trainer with attack and air combat capability, the brand-new medium attack helicopter Z-10ME, 4-ton attack helicopter Z-19E, and Y-9E, a new generation multi-role transport aircraft. Meanwhile, a JF-17 will demonstrate its excellent capability again in the sky of Le Bourget. It has been 4 years since JF-17 made its first aerobatic flight at Paris Airshow.

AVIC will also display a portfolio of civil products including MA700 passenger aircraft, AC312E helicopter, and Y-12E/F commuter aircraft. MA700 is a brand-new advanced turboprop regional aircraft under development, suitable for short & medium haul routes. Global market and potential partners have been attracted by MA700’s unique fly-by-wire technology, clean-sheet aerodynamics design and overall performance. As of today, MA700 has received 285 orders from 11 customers. The middle fuselage and nose structure have been delivered for the first MA700 for static stress test, which is expected to roll out in 2019. AC312E, a medium twin-engine civil helicopter, has finished airworthiness flight campaign with CAAC, and is expected to receive Type Certificate from CAAC in 2019.

Furthermore, AVIC’s capability on avionics system design and integration are represented by a conceptual cockpit for future widebody airliners. Other integrated civil aviation capabilities and services will be introduced by videos at AVIC stand, including solutions for civil aircraft systems, cabin systems, aerostructure subcontracting production, design and construction of aviation infrastructure.

Representatives from AVIC business units will attend executive meetings and business talks with major aeronautical companies, institutional investors etc. AVIC commits itself to the win-win cooperation through “Aerial Silk Road” with customers from Africa and West Asia.
