Recently, an ARJ21-700 aircraft has carried out test flights for validation of landing with optimized maximum payload and validation airspace at Yaohu Airport, a new flight test base of AVIC for large civil aircraft.
The first mission is to test the maneuverability and landing performance of aircraft under full load. The purpose of airspace validation is to detect whether the newly approved special airspace meets the requirements of future C919 research flight test.
During the tests, pilots traversed several main routes of civil aviation and adjacent airport airspace according to the command procedure, and the flight covered predetermined full altitude span. The performance of communication and data transfer between airborne equipment and ground telemetry equipment were also tested.
At the same time, the flight has comprehensively tested air traffic control, meteorological, ground equipment and other field support capabilities at Yaohu Airport, proving that the airport is ready to support C919’s research flights in future.
