On November 17, the 16th Dubai International Air Show was held at al Maktoum International airport in Dubai.
With the theme of "new capability, new journey and win-win with customers", AVIC displayed a total of 14 key products in 7 categories in the exhibition, focusing on the three main lines of military aircraft, civil aircraft and UAV.
The indoor exhibition area was 200 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area was 500 square meters.
To support China’s Belt and Road Initiative and fulfill AVIC’s strategy in new era, the exhibition aims to highlight the win-win philosophy of AVIC’s international business, continuously promote aviation cooperation along the Belt and Road, and actively explore the international market in the gulf, western Asia and Africa.
Tan ruisong, chairman of AVIC, and Chen Yuanxian, executive vice president, attended the air show. On the opening day, Chen Yuanxian received an exclusive interview from Chinese and foreign media at the AVIC stand.
AVIC has been participating in the Dubai Air Show for 10 years since 2009. In this exhibition, AVIC pays more attention to the demands of the gulf and African markets and target customers, fully displaying the strength of aviation and military products, focusing on helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and other products with high technology and target market prospects, and exhibiting general aircraft and civil aircraft products with market potential.
In terms of military aircraft, AVIC focused on the display of fighter aircraft, trainer aircraft, military helicopter/unmanned helicopter, transport aircraft and other types of products. Among them, China's newly developed all-weather, single-engine, single-seat, multi-purpose fighter, the J-10CE, made its international debut.
The armed U8EW unmanned helicopter also made its debut on major international air show, showing off its excellent reconnaissance capability, rapid response capability and wide range of applications in the form of a prototype.
The display of Z10ME, Z11E, Z9WE and other key products of military helicopters highlights the development achievements of AVIC, as well as the ability to meet the diversified and customized demands of users.
Visitors also could get a close look at the JF-17 single-seat fighter, the L15 advanced trainer, the FTC-2000G attacker/trainer, and the Y-9E transport aircraft.
In terms of civil aircraft, AVIC displayed MA700, a regional turboprop passenger aircraft, and the general aircraft Y12 series, including Y12E and Y12F.
In terms of UAV, the display of Wing Loong family, which represents the R&D capability of high-end UAV in AVIC, is highlighted.
Wing Loong is suitable for reconnaissance, surveillance and ground strike, and has strong expansion capability, which can be extended to carry out ISR, EW, SAR and other missions.
At the airshow, AVIC fully utilized the role of the Dubai air show as a excellent cooperation platform, and actively organized high-level talks with customers, built up strategic mutual trust and promoted key projects through the joint efforts, and specifically introduced the helicopter products to Middle East and Africa customers.
