Tan Ruisong, Chairman of AVIC, had a conference call with Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus. The partners reviewed bilateral efforts to maintain the normal operation of the joint projects since the outbreak of COVID-19 and appreciated the progress made at this stage.
Faury acknowledged AVIC’s support for the resume of Airbus's supply chain in China during the COVID-19 outbreak, saying that Airbus will strive to overcome the impact of the outbreak, keep production stable, and continue to strengthen cooperation with China in the future.
Tan Ruisong expressed his appreciation to Faury’s care and support during the pandemic in China since January this year. Considering the pandemic spreading all over the world, he wished all Airbus employees stay healthy.
“Airbus's maintenance of production and effective operation of the global supply chain are challenging but correct, and AVIC is willing to work with Airbus to overcome difficulties, minimize the impact of the COVID-19 and keep the schedule of partner projects”, Tan said.
Both sides agreed that under the current situation, to strengthen cooperation, support each other, work together to fight was the only right choice. In the future, AVIC and Airbus will maintain close communication and other joint efforts to reduce the impact.
Chen Yuanxian, Executive Vice President of AVIC, among other executives from AVIC International Affairs and Civil Aircraft also attended the conference.
