On September 17th, AVIC and Airbus jointly held an annual strategic coordination meeting. The two parties discussed the strategy for partnership, and promoted the progress of joint programs, aiming to further expand and deepen mutual cooperation. Chen Yuanxian, Executive Vice President of AVIC, and Klaus Richter, Chief Procurement Officer of Airbus, led the two teams to attend the meeting.
At the meeting, Airbus introduced its latest business achievement and major adjustment in the past year, and AVIC reviewed the cooperation and strategic synergy between the two parties. Subsequently, the two parties discussed the implementation of key joint projects and formulated key work action items for the next year.
Klaus Richter highly praised AVIC’s effective measures taken to prevent and control the COVID-19 crisis, and resume production at the beginning of this year, and appreciated AVIC’s effort to resume production rate, defend commitments and maintain the stability of the supply chain in key projects such as Airbus A320, A350, and A220.
The other projects also received highly recognition from Klaus Richter.Chen Yuanxian mentioned the huge impact of COVID-19 on global civil aviation and introduced China’s effective control measures, with which, China has taken the lead in the recovery of civil aviation.
Chen expressed AVIC’s confidence in working with Airbus to neutralize the impact of the COVID-19, reduce risks, and overcome difficulties together.
Airbus is a long-term strategic partner for AVIC, and AVIC is willing to further expand and deepen cooperation with Airbus, and jointly promote current cooperation to a new level.
