On December 17th, AVIC released its annual China civil aircraft market forecast through live online meeting.
The forecast sees 90% of China’s overall air traffic coming from domestic market before 2024, and international and regional traffic will resume back to level before the COVID-19 crisis.
By the forecast, in the coming 2 decades, China airlines will introduce 7576 aircraft to renew and expand their fleet, including 1598 wide-bodies, 5080 single-aisles, and 898 regional aircraft.
The annual forecast examined the general aviation sector for the first time and sees a fleet size of 5815 general aircraft by the end of 2025, and 25000 by the end of 2035. Moreover, China will need 3111 general aircraft in the next 5 years, and 23000 in the next 15 years.
